“Pompompurin Café” - Yokohama Store is a café using the motif of Pompompurin, a very popular character of Sanrio. At this café you can also meet another popular Sanrio character, “Gudetama.”  From the 5^th of September (Wed.) to the 30^th of November (Fri.), four menu items are being debuted in commemoration of Gudetama’s 5^th anniversary. These menu items will also be sold at “Pompompurin Café” -Nagoya Store from the 1^st of October (Mon.) to the 31^st(wed.).Furthermore, a “Gudetama Café” is now open in “Dining Park Ikebukuro” located inside of Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store. It was opened on the 26 of June and will be open until the 24^th of September. The café was created under the concept of, “the lazy character, Gudetama went to space” in commemoration of Gutetama’s 5^th anniversary. This time, they will sell four limited menu items.

Going to Mars? Guderian Pasta 1,390 yen (tax not included)

This menu item was created under the concept of, “Guderian, a strange character made of tomato sauce, with red paprika legs and a mashed potato face, has left for Mars?” Don’t miss the spacy-looking small squid and the mini-tomato asteroids stuck onto a pure-black pasta made of squid ink.

A sweet dessert that looks like a burger. “Gudetama” made with apricots placed on top of milk agar, mango custard, chocolate ice cream and strawberry sauce are sandwiched inside a French toast.  

Black de Hall Ja Parfait 1,190 yen (tax not included)

Black de Hall (black hole) is depicted using a doughnut iced in a galaxy pattern. Chocolate sponge cake, black currant agar, mint cream, berries, chocolate and black currant ice cream are stuffed inside a jar. This menu item is sweet but sour at the same time.

In addition to the menu items noted above, the set of Chinese dumpling and tea, Chinese noodle and desserts like pudding and pancakes are available!    

Pochacco is one of the many characters produced by Sanrio alongside Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Gudetama and many others.   The floppy-eared white dog will celebrate his 30th anniversary next year. In the meantime, to celebrate Gudetama's 5th anniversary, he's heading to the Gudetama Cafe in Umeda, Osaka. This is the first time the two have collaborates. There will be four cute menu items to choose from.

Gudetama & Pochacco Getting-Along Hamburger - ¥1,250 (+Tax)

Hugging these hamburgers are a white Pochacco bun with his iconic floppy ears and hair made from wafers, and a Gudetama carrot bun. Both come as a set with a side of salad and fries.

Pochacco Catching Some Zzz's Under a Gudetama Blanket in a Bed of Hashed Beef - ¥1,100 (+Tax)

Rice Pochacco is sleeping soudnly tucked under a Gudetama omelette blanket atop a bed of hhashed beef. He's wearing a night cap and surrounded by stars. This meal screams 'kawaii'!

Gudetama x Pochacco Summer Parfait - ¥1,150 (+Tax)

Pochacco is made of refreshing vanilla ice cream and sat comfortably on top of an overflowing parfait. There's a perfect mix of sweetness from the whipped cream and sponge and and sourness from the mangoes, kiwi and berries. At the bottom is Blue Hawaii jelly to complete that summertime feel. Don't forget the tiny Gudetama marshmallows diving in the cream!

Gudetama & Pochacco Very Berry French Toast - ¥1,100 (+Tax)

The thick-cut French toast is topped with colourful fruits and drizzled with a dark berry sauce. Vanilla ice cream Pochacco has marshmallow paws and Gudetama is made of mango ice cream. This delicious dish has lots of flavours to enjoy - just looking at it is enough to satisfy your tummy!

To further get in on the celebrations, if you dine from this menu at the Gudetama Cafe or purchase any of the merchandise you'll get a free sticker. Additionally, when ordering food from the menu, you'll get a free luncheon mat, and when ordering a drink, you'll get a coaster. All of these are limited in quantity so you'd best be quick!
